Pricing

As an equitable service provider, I offer a dynamic pricing structure for my web development services. This can make it seem a bit complicated at first glance but it will make sense as you work with me. My web hosting, graphic design, and freelancing rates are all flat. Check out the tabs below for more details and their pricing tables.

Web Design & Development Costs

I typically charge by the hour when I work on a website. However, what is unique is that my hourly rate depends on the type of task. For example, clicking around in a CMS is a different skill than programming in PHP, so I charge different hourly rates for those skills. As a result, this keeps costs low for you.

Below is a pricing table of tasks that you would see on an invoice for web design and development from AuRise Creative sorted by cheapest to most expensive. You might also consider this as how I view these tasks in difficulty and/or effort level.

Task TypeDescriptionHourly Rate (USD)
MeetingsYour first consultation is free. After that, meetings that take up my time will be tracked. These meetings include, but aren’t limited to, Zoom, phone calls, and in-person meetings. However, you’re welcome to send me as many emails or text messages as you need and I won’t charge for those.$25
CMS UpdatesThis is me clicking around the backend of your website updating settings and/or content. It’s not a particularly difficult thing to do, but I know my way around WordPress and know exactly where to find what I’m looking for so I’m fast about it.$26
Project ManagementThis is a catch-all task-type that includes configuring DNS settings, creating sitemaps for complicated websites, and anything that doesn’t really fit in any of the other task types but is still work that contributes to your website’s development.$27
Graphic Design – Edits OnlyIf I need to open Photoshop, Illustrator, or Lightroom for any reason, it’s going to be logged to this task type. This only includes editing or modifying images for your website. Need your logo tweaked or an image cropped? I can do that.$30
ResearchThis is really only needed for more complex websites that are industry specific. This includes any kind of research like identifying your target audience, best practices within your industry, checking out what your competitors are doing, etc. This isn’t needed for most of my clients since you usually already have a business, purpose, and customer-base and just need a website to get it online.$55
UX DesignTypically not needed for the standard website, this task is for advanced websites, web applications, and some eCommerce websites that need a customized user experience. This task includes creating user archetypes, personas, flow charts, data architecture maps, and anything else used in planning and designing a user experience. A great UX design makes it so your users can have the most intuitive and least frustrating experience possible when using your website or digital product.$70
ProgrammingAnytime I need to open my code editor to write, modify, or delete code for your website, it’ll be logged to this task type. Some clients want unique features and those needs can sometimes be met with a WordPress plugin or third party platform. Sometimes those subscriptions can cost hundreds of dollars a month, so having me develop it for you can be cheaper since it’s a one-time cost to have me make it.$85

Hourly Rate for Freelancing

If you’re looking to hire me for a freelance project and need a flat hourly rate, I’m going to tell you it’s $85/hour. Enterprise level companies, corporations, and marketing agencies looking to outsource the development work and specifically want my unique skillset can afford it.

Agencies I’ve freelanced for include:

Graphic Design

Graphic design is a different beast than web development. For this, I charge based on the project type and number of revisions.

ProjectDescriptionCost
Logo DesignFor the base cost, you get one (1) logo design and up to three (3) rounds of revisions. If you need more revisions, then it’ll be $25 per revision round.$100 base (+$25/revision)
Graphic DesignFor the base cost, you get one (1) design and up to three (3) rounds of revisions. If you need more revisions, then it’ll be $25 per revision round.$75 base (+$25/revision)

You’re not required to use my graphic design services to take advantage of my web development or web hosting services. I didn’t even design my own logo! I got it from Fiverr because I didn’t like anything I made for myself.

Here is my referral link for Fiverr. If you sign up with that link, you’ll get 10% off your first purchase.

Once registered, you can go to this link, this is the logo package I purchased from Geeks Digital, specifically the “Standard” package for a base $35 (which I then tipped after). The perks I wanted the most from upgrading to Standard was the source file and unlimited revisions. That package is specific to my tastes being “flat” and “minimalist” but you can also browse their other logo packages too.
