Description
Keyboard Typing is a beginner-level course designed to teach the fundamental skills needed to type on a computer keyboard efficiently and accurately. In this class, you will learn proper hand placement, posture, and typing techniques. We will also build awareness of potential physical strain caused by prolonged typing and methods to prevent and alleviate the effects. By the end of this course, you will have gained a basic understanding of how to type on a computer keyboard and have access to an online account to continue practicing so that you may become a confident and efficient keyboard typist.
This is an in-person class at the Mt. Lebanon High School. Those interested should register for any one of the sessions that fit their schedule. Each session runs for four (4) weeks on Monday nights, where you come to class for 1.5 hours each week to learn and practice typing.

This class is run as part of the Mt. Lebanon School District’s Adult Continuing Education Program. Classes are subject to cancellation if there is not enough interest and classes can be added if there’s more than enough interest. Because of this, we ask you to get your registrations in early as possible. Adult Continuing Education classes will be canceled if the senior highs school building closes due to an emergency. For program updates, tune into the Mt. Lebanon Cable Channel 19 (Comcast) or Channel 33 (Verizon).
