DTX Shortcode: Theme Option

This shortcode retrieves a theme modification value for the active theme. This shortcode requires a value for the key attribute where its value is the name of the theme option you want to retrieve the value for.

[CF7_get_theme_option key="<theme option slug>"]

This shortcode also includes an optional default attribute where you can specify the default value to be returned if the theme option is empty or does not exist.

[CF7_get_theme_option key="<theme option slug>" default="<insert default value"]

Examples

If I had a registered theme setting with the id set to legal_business_name, the value of my dynamic field would use this:

CF7_get_theme_option key='legal_business_name'

And then the dynamic text form tag would look like this:

[dynamictext inputname "CF7_get_theme_option key='legal_business_name'"]

I could also choose to define a default value for the field should that theme modification not exist or is empty by using the following dynamic form tag:

[dynamictext inputname "CF7_get_theme_option key='legal_business_name' default='AuRise Creative'"]

Cache Compatibility

If cache compatibility mode is enabled for the form tag that uses this built-in shortcode, it does not make an AJAX request. Instead, it simply uses the preexisting value because the value retrieved by this shortcode is safe to cache.
